How did you end up in current position at Alliance PR?

I started the Alliance PR Comm with my partners and shareholders since in the last quarter of 2014. We took our positions for this agency and I became the CEO making business development, client service, relationships management, marketing communications, events organizing, media relations, strategic planning and other related factors.

Who are the major clients of Alliance?

HTC smartphone, CB Securities & Thomson Reuters, SAP software, Vanguard Business Solutions, KFC, MPU (Myanmar Payment Union), GovRisk – Foreign & Commonwealth Office (a UK government’s project) were our happy clients in 2015 and 2016. Currently we are providing content articles for Red Dot Network Monthly Magazine issues and for its social media & website.

How do you secure such high profile clients?

Most of the clients reached out to us via our website as we made our site to be good at SEO (search engine optimization). When you google “PR agency in Myanmar” or “Communications agency in Myanmar” or “Public Relations in Myanmar”, the Alliance PR Comm (http://alliancepr.agency) is at the top of the result. Having a good SEO is a necessary factor for a PR firm.

What is your target market segment?

In 2016, we are targeting to do Public Relations & communications solutions for the financial-related clients such as banks and insurance firms, for the consumer products such as smartphones, health-care products, food & beverage, tech-related clients such as SAP software from Germany, etc. We are also interested to present about our credentials and the services to the other diversity of businesses as well.

What kind of services Alliance provide for local and International Companies?

Especially we provide only 4 services – the PR, digital marketing, events and advertising. In the meaning of PR (Public Relations), we do local media relations, news monitoring system, media buying, strategic PR solutions and crisis communications, reporting. In terms of digital marketing – we do focus on social media management via Facebook platforms including the KPIs metrics, visualizations, content creations, CRM (customer relationship management) and monthly digital report. For the events, we do press conference, media conference, launching event, roadshows, round table discussion, promotion/ lucky draw and other kinds of PR/marketing events. We also do advertising ranging from outdoor, print to digital and online. What is your opinion on current marketing trends? The current marketing trend in Myanmar is still in the midst of drastically changing period. There are still a couple of factors to take care when you do “marketing” in Myanmar. That’s why a local agency is needed for insightful understanding and expertise to local market.

Who are your major competitors and what are your competitive strategies?

In my opinion, we are doing business altogether so we are colleagues. Our strategy is to deliver our best works to our valuable clients with the right ways and right tools in hands. The best way to do business development is to take care of the current clients. It is very important make happy to our clients and stakeholders. Man power is the major asset in service industry. From a business standpoint, what do you feel are the biggest challenges facing you and your team in next 1-3 years? As a start-up agency in the past years, all the other agencies were bigger than us and we had to compete with them. In the next upcoming years, we have to keep the momentum of our current assets.
