For the first 9 months of 2017, Thai cement giant Siam Cement Group (SCG) said its Myanmar unit recorded revenue from sales at $ 185 million (252,454 million Kyats) . Quarter three of 2017 revenue sales amounted to $54 million, a 25 percent rise year on year due to its operation of cement plant, having been started commercial run since last year. Operating results of the first 9 months of 2017, showed a slight decrease in profit compared to the same period of the previous year. The conglomerate announces its strategic focus is on collaborations from around the world to create innovations as well as investing in start-ups through world-class venture capital, utilizing technology to strengthen its business in response to digital transformation.
